Nexgen biotechnologies, inc. Established in november 1999, is the venture biotechnology company based on the plat f orm technology of 2nd generation plant biotechnology. Since its inception, the company has been focused on advancing the next generation of biotechnology.

Nexgen conducts research and development in various fields: Molecular farming for the production of useful proteins using plants as bio-factories, developing edible vaccines for oral vaccinations against particular diseases, phytoremediation research for cleaning pollutants from the air, soil or water as well as being involved with floriculture for producing virus-free plants. Through its concentrated research efforts nexgen is developing high value-added medicines, cosmetics and industrial enzymes.
